to the exhibition “50 Years MPI of Biochemistry in Martinsried”. Over the course of thirteen stations, we will present a comprehensive overview and insight into 50 years of the Institute’s history.

We invite you to follow the suggested order starting at this station. However, each station can be independently understood.

After reviewing the history leading up to the founding of our Institute as we know it today, we present the most important developments and biggest milestones from the past 50 years. Then we will take a dive into the world of research and explain research organization at the Institute, followed by a glimpse into how the daily operations have changed since the beginning. Finally, we end with a look into the exciting future ahead.
